The Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program provides students with a unique blend of classroom and clinical experience, expert faculty and dynamic curricula. The program continues a tradition of excellence providing students with the professional knowledge and skills needed in the ever-changing health care professions. Graduates of the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program qualify to take the national examination for licensure as registered nurse. The outstanding performance on the examination by past graduates is testimony to the quality of education and to the high caliber of our students. This innovative program also facilitates nursing career mobility through a dual admission option, which allows qualified graduates to continue their education in the RN to BSN to MSN Upward Mobility Track at Regis College with full credit for their associate degree courses. .
The Nursing Program has excellent clinical affiliations and offers a full range of practice laboratories. The Medford campus houses simulation laboratories for student instruction and practice with interactive mannequins, as well as nursing arts, multimedia and audio/visual labs. In addition, students have student lounges and a comprehensive health science library. LM/RC students also have use of all Regis College facilities on the Weston campus.
The Nursing Program seeks academically talented students to attend this rigorous program. Monthly Information Sessions provide potential applicants complete program and admission information. These sessions are offered the first Thursday of the month, September through June at 7 p.m. at the Medford campus.
The program offers a self-managed application process. The application includes a checklist and instructions to be used in completing the application. The confidential reference form can be printed out from our website, under “Admissions Requirements”, to be given to your three references. Please note there is not an application deadline as the school offers rolling admissions thus, application are reviewed throughout the year.
Convenient location in a community setting
Professional courses in nursing are held on the Medford campus located seven miles north of Boston. The Medford campus shares its site with Lawrence Memorial Hospital, a 134-bed, non-profit acute care facility, and the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, a 224-bed state-of-the-art nursing center, both affiliates of Hallmark Health. In addition to providing clinical experience for students, the hospital serves as a clinical education site for health professionals and medical students from a number of area colleges and universities. Required non-nursing courses are offered on the main campus of Regis College in Weston, MA. On the Weston campus, students have access to all Regis College facilities including libraries, laboratories, technology centers and athletic facilities. Since both campuses are located close to Boston, students enjoy entertainment, shopping, and dining venues as well as historical and cultural events unique to the city.
Accreditations
The professional associate of science nursing degree program is approved by the Board of Registration in Nursing of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Regis College was founded in 1927 and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
